Electron Energy Corporation (“EEC”) is a rare earth magnet producer, located in the United States, specializing in supplying samarium cobalt and neodymium-iron-boron magnets that are fully compliant with DFARS 225.7018. EEC’s Material Technology Center located in Lancaster, PA produces rare earth magnet alloys used in the production of high performance magnets. This alloy melting capability is one of the keys to our DFARS compliance and has enabled our innovative approach to satisfying defense applications since 1971.

Samarium cobalt and neodymium-iron-boron magnets are produced by melting raw materials to create an alloy, powder formation, pressing, sintering, magnet machining, and magnetization. DFARS 225.7018 requires that the DoD procure samarium cobalt and neodymium-iron-boron magnets that have been alloyed in an approved country. EEC produces SmCo magnet alloys in the US and provides customers with complete material traceability on all magnet materials certifying 100% DFARS compliance.

EEC advises customers to always verify their magnet supply chain is compliant. Our team welcomes you to visit our facilities and verify for yourself that our magnets are 100% DFARS compliant. Please contact Scott Murr, Director of Business Development (smurr@electronenergy.com) to arrange your visit today.
